US C1/D Visa Application
For all vessels, a US C1/D visa is required. You should generally make the application at least 2 months before date of joining, to allow plenty of time to receive your visa. If you need to renew your passport, you should do so BEFORE applying for your visa.
If you are joining Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Marella Cruises, or FTI Cruises, the company will refund the cost of your visa. ***KEEP A COPY OF THE PAYMENT RECEIPT AND PRESENT IT TO THE HR COORDINATOR (Oceania/Regent) OR CREW PURSER (Marella Cruises) WHEN YOU JOIN TO RECEIVE YOUR REFUND FOR THE COST OF THE VISA***

If you are joining a ship in Europe and your nationality requires it, you will need to apply for a Schengen visa (primarily required for crew from Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Jamaica). We will advise you if you need to apply for this visa. To do so, you will need to contact the embassy of the country in which you will join (Spain, Italy, France, etc) in your own country and request the application procedure. We will provide a letter of invitation from the port agent in the country where you will be joining, addressed to the embassy in support of your application.
