For all vessels around the world, the following STCW training is required.
Training must be conducted at an accredited shoreside training facility in your country. We will assist you to locate a suitable training facility if necessary.
STCW - 95 Basic Safety Training - this comprises the following modules:
- Elementary First Aid (IMO/OMI 1.13)
- Fire Fighting Techniques (IMO/OMI 1.20)
- Personal Survival Techniques (IMO/OMI 1.19)
- Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (IMO/OMI 1.21)
Security Awareness (IMO/OMI 3.27) - This course can be done online, as an alternative to a shoreside school if you prefer. They offer all required courses depending on location (Basic Safety Training, Crowd Management, Crisis Management, Security Awareness) and also offer the Iniciacion course which you will need if you are applying for a Mexican Seaman's Book.
